Presentation Information

Please note only the member intending to present may fill out a nomination card.* Presenter must be at least a 1 year member in good standing.  Presenter must complete and submit a Charitable Organization Fact Sheet prior to the meeting date.  Fact Sheet and submission deadline information will be emailed to all members 2 weeks in advance of the meeting date.

I have a local 501(c)3 charity/non-profit that I want to present at the meeting. I have been a member for at least one year.  If my charity/non-profit is selected for presentation, what do I need to talk about in my 5 minute presentation?
Presentations are simple and should not be overly formal.  No audio-visual tools are used.
  • What is the name of the organization?
  • Is the local charity/non-profit a recognized 501(c)(3)?  Only charities/non-profits that are recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)3 may be presented.  The charity/non-profit shall provide their Federal ID# (EIN#) and their IRS Letter of Determination if selected as the winning nomination.
  • If a charity/non-profit is determined to not be a 501(c)3, it will be disqualified from receiving funds.
  • Where is the organization located?
  • What is the mission of the organization?
  • What purpose does the organization serve? Who do they serve?  What do they do? How do they do it?
  • How would they benefit from receiving the donation? How will the funds be used?
  • What is the timeline for use of the funds?
  • What is their administrative cost? Please note if there are applicable costs they may not exceed 10% of the total 100 Women Who Care donation.
* Additional notes:  If a member has presented on behalf of a charity/non-profit once, and has not been selected as the donation recipient, members shall wait one year from that presentation to submit the same charity/non-profit.  Once a donation is made to the winning charity/non-profit, that organization is not eligible for another nomination for one year.
