ABOUT US

The Greater Lansing Chapter of 100+ Women Who Care is a group of over 100 women who get together 4 times a year for the sole purpose of helping local charities, non-profits and worthy causes serving the Greater Lansing area.  Because of difficult economic times, many of these charities' resources are being depleted or greatly stressed due to the growing number of requests for help.  Our idea is to bring together 100+ women to help make a difference NOW in our community.  We come from all walks of life and different financial means.  By coming together as a financially committed group, we are able to impact our community in a much more significant way using this simple concept.

100 Women Who Care was started in November of 2006 by Karen Dunigan of Jackson, MI, as a brilliantly simple way to raise money effectively and quickly for local charities/non-profits/worthy causes.  Her group of 100 women, at their first one-hour meeting, each wrote a check for $100 directly to the charity, raising $10,000 to buy 300 new baby cribs for an organization in their city.  Since then,  chapters are forming all over the country.  The Greater Lansing 100+ Women Who Care chapter was started in March 2010 with 44 donations and we have grown to a membership of 190 members hopefully making a difference in our community.
